LSW
Adam (he/him) is a Licensed Social Worker at Third Eye Counseling. He earned his Master of Social Work from Loyola University Chicago, and offers individual therapy in person and via telehealth.
Adam works with adults and teens navigating ADHD, autism, and trauma, as well as the anxiety and depression that often come alongside them. If you are neurodivergent or have experienced trauma, you are probably exhausted from constantly fighting with yourself. You might feel overwhelmed, misunderstood, or like your brain works differently than the world expects. Many of the people Adam works with have spent years masking, overexplaining, or quietly carrying things they were never given space to process.
His approach is grounded, strengths-based, and collaborative, built around who each client actually is, not who they think they should be, shaped by their experiences, their nervous system, and their environment. He draws on Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Internal Family Systems, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and somatic work, exploring the parts of a client that feel stuck or hard to understand with curiosity rather than judgment. He works from the understanding that even the parts of a person that feel most difficult are trying to help in some way.
In sessions with Adam, you do not have to mask. Together, clients explore what tools actually feel helpful for them, moving at their own pace, slowly untangling the noise and getting curious about their experiences. Therapy with Adam is a space to start discovering who you are underneath it all.
If you have spent a long time feeling like you are too much, not enough, or simply wired in a way the world does not quite accommodate, you are not alone in that. Adam offers a free 15 minute consultation and looks forward to getting to know you.
Adam is available to provide services in Illinois, Massachusetts, and Connecticut.
